(1John 4:10)
In one of the longest prayers of Jesus recorded in the Bible (John 17), He prayed very specifically for Unity amongst His people - that they might be One.
Amongst other things, that calls for fellowship, which means loving one another, caring for one another and sharing with one another in the presence of our Lord and Saviour.
Ending one year and starting the next is always an excuse to celebrate in a variety of ways.
We celebrated with a meal and a time of fun.But most important of all was to enter the New Year with our thoughts firmly directed toward God:
His Love
His Mercy
His Goodness and
His Greatness
