Coffee Bar & Internet Cafe for Ashton Youth

Plans are afoot for a Coffee Bar in the centre of Ashton-in-Makerfield specifically designed to appeal to the town's youth - primarily high school.

Local churches are being urged to work together on this exciting new initiative, which is the brainchild of some young people from St Thomas's Parish Church.

Planning is still at the early stage with the young people sharing their vision and encouraging others to get involved.

Next steps are:

Group of Young People
  • Set up a team to oversee the project

  • Register for charitable status

  • Conduct social audit, for hard facts to support funding applications

  • Establish prayer network

  • Recruit all the skills needed to set up and run the cafe

    •  All that amounts to a major campaign. If you and your church care about the youth of Ashton, if you have energy and enthusiasm, then they want to hear from you.

    If you know how to set up a new business, apply for grants, obtain business premises or other skills that are needed, then do get in touch.
